What am I doing wrong?
This morning I purchased a Joyetech 150 TC, Sapor RDA, some cotton, pre-made 24 Gauge Kanthal wire coils (dual coils came out to be .33 Ohm's now reading .29) and 30 ml, 4mg juice and vaping on Ppwer mode at 30.0 Watts at .29 Ohm's. I cant even do a hit because i Immediately start coughing my lungs up. I cant get a hold of the vape shop where i purchased it because theyre closed.

I used to Vape from e-pens up an Itaste VTR and regular tank atomzers. I dont feel i should be coughing like this...whats up?

Can you guys help me out here...begining to think I should have just stayed with cancer sticks

RE: What am I doing wrong?
It seems it's too  much for you. Use it with a single coil around 1 ohm and 15 W.

RE: What am I doing wrong?
With your new set up you will be vaping DTL whereas before you could have been vaping MTL - there is a huge difference. MTL is a normal vape in the respect that you use the same method as smoking.DTL you have to learn how to do it in most cases. Keep at it - practice makes perfect as they say - just don't go back to cigs. Others here will help you with probably better advice than mine - that is what this forum is all about. The best of luck.

You do get used to it eventually. Start where peter-k recommended and work your way up.

Don't forget to apply for the freecycle section!

RE: What am I doing wrong?
You can MTL on a Sapor. You have to restrict the air flow, build higher and vape lower. There is no prerequisite to move on to DL hits ( mouth to lung vs direct lung hits). You could work your way up but I know people very happy with just MTL vaping. Like most things in life it is all about experience and practice. You have to find the style of vaping you enjoy most. So building above 1.0 ohms you are no longer sub ohmiing and DLing. My wife never vapes above 18-20 watts and I vape above 100 watts. We both enjoy our vapes.

RE: What am I doing wrong?
yeah, I'm not giving up. Though I am trying to understand what effect is causing me to cough up my toenails so I can find out and understand the adjustments i need to make.

Is it the
amount of vapor?
temperature of the vapor?
dual coil setup?
combined Ohm rating of those coils?
the way i have the coils installed?

I would have no doubt that its hard to dial in something, fine tuning a car, overclocking PC components , vaping etc.

Usually if I cough its from cold juice, but if its to hot I will cough, like if tc or wattage is to high.

I run my crown on my nano at 42w or if I am using a tc coil, 450f degrees.

RE: What am I doing wrong?
had a derp moment there lol. There is really only one way to install coils on the Sapor.

4 post terminals all in a single row, one post hole on each post terminal, two post terms in center are positive, two post terms one on each side of the center posts are neg, So one leg of coil in outside (neg.) post and the other leg of coil in a middle post (positive right?

RE: What am I doing wrong?
I will try one coil as suggested but i only have .5 coils.

Should I place two coils in the same posts to get as close to 1.0 Ohms as possible?

Another thing I do is purge the chamber with a blow. It will look like a nitrous car purging the lines.

I always choked if that chamber has stale vaper in it.
