RE: Decent SS wire?
There's quite a few videos on the G-plat wire (which is 317L SS)... it's easier to work with than Kanthal, more pliable and less springy.

If you can bare Rip Trippers, here's a video of him coiling it and explaining it's properties when working with it compared to Kanthal.

edit* You'll notice how he was suckered in by the 'Special Blend of alloys Big Grin - that's before people knew it was just your run of the mill 317L SS wire Tongue

RE: Decent SS wire?
I can't bear to watch him but thanks for the info. I really don't know if I'm going to try TC or not yet; I can't decide. The 4s hits quickly and solidly, and I have gotten to know my setup so well that I know when I will be dry hitting and always avoid it. Aside from dry hit 'protection' and instant/consistent temperature settings, what are the advantages of TC, at least TC as it exists right now?

RE: Decent SS wire?
Not much. It does mean you can tell when your dripper is dry as the vapour disappears. But most folks can do that anyway. It is good for using up charge in your cells though. Smile

RE: Decent SS wire?
If you're already an experienced vaper then there's not a lot of point in using TC imo. I can see it being useful for newer vapers but the offset of the technicality makes it burdensome at best.

It's a clever concept, but kind of needs to be fully automated and self-sensing - I could have done with it when I was starting out with Ce5's Tongue
