A Little Gem of a coil
Hi - A few weeks ago Whiskey - 'forum' Whiskey not the drink[Image: smile.gif] brought to my attention the GS tank by Eleaf. As I was in the process of looking for a new tank and trusting her experience and judgement on such matters, I bought the GS Air Mega with the 1.5ohm coil. In the past I have always used Aspire tanks - the Nautilus and the mini and the Triton so this was a complete change for me. The tank arrived and at first was a little disappointed - it seemed rather flimsy in comparison to the tanks I had been using - which are quite substantial tanks weight wise. What surprised me even more was the size of the 1.5ohm coil - it is really very small - so at this point I was a little dubious about the whole thing. Anyway I went ahead and filled the tank - a very straightforward bottom fill - the tank is very easy to use by the way - I left it lying for about 10 minutes and then did what I always do with new tanks - I checked for leaks and there were none - dry as a bone. I then took my first draw and was amazed at the volume of vapour it produced from such a little coil - more vapour than the Nautilus or Triton with the 1.8ohm coil ever produced and the flavour which was more important to me was on a par with my other tanks - this also surprised me - pleasantly[Image: smile.gif]. It is now more than 2 weeks and regular vaping with this and the little coil is still going strong - by now my aspire coils would have been in the bin. This is a brilliant little coil - plenty vapour plenty flavour and is as good as it was 18 days ago. The tank will also take sub ohm coils and if they are anything like as good as the 1.5 then you sub ohmers are in for a treat - I do not often give praise to things in this manner but this little coil is truly wonderful.

RE: A Little Gem of a coil
Thanks for the report. May I ask for clarification? 1.5 or 0.15 ohm?

RE: A Little Gem of a coil
Here is the thing. Sub ohm tanks are actually a relative recent arrival on the vaping scene. It was not that long ago we finally got a nauticus , followed by an atalantis , followed by the kanger. We were in vape heaven aftyer using the viva nova and pro. Now everyone and their uncle want to vape 40+ watts. They want those 22 mm sub ohm tanks that produce monster clouds on 200 watt devices.

Well, in my very humble opinion, peiople are missing the boat. Thr GS air can be vaped up to 20 watts and produce great taste and cloud because that 1.5 coil is a dual coil. Each coil is a 3.0 coil. It uses organic cotton and those dual coils last. This is a perfect MTL tank indeed. I still use my provari and this is great on the provari. Now eleaf is hit and miss. Some great products - melo and lemo 2 - some not so great - a janky 100 watt device. This is one of the better devices and certainly an upgrade to the nautilus mini.

I'll search for that tank when I'm in BKK next week. Simple and not sub-ohm, what I was looking for.

Hi Bob - Electronic Cigarette co. £12.99. coils are £9.95 for pack of 5.  Free UK delivery. If you want the tank that will also sub ohm it is the GS tank at £14.95. There are 2 sub ohm coils available for this as well as the 'little gem'[Image: good2.gif]
