RE: 50W 10A Box Mod
And by the standards of the RC guys, we're being incredibly gentle with our power supplies. Don't fancy 100+A from a VTC4 for the two seconds till it blew up.

6000mAh, 65C constant discharge, 130C burst (Though I hate to think of the cycle life when used like that), can be charged at 8A. 15 quid. Look at it for a few minutes and you'll get a better price. 1S2P construction so no balancing issues. It all depends on how many charge cycles these will take under vaping use. That's probably way over-specified. There's a single cell pack of 5600mAh capacity (40C - 225A) for around 7.50 but it would need to be in a box mod of some sort. And there's a cheaper 20C version for around $8.

My last rc plane calculated to putting out 1.1kw.......

That waa two motors two esc and two 12v lipo packs.

Motor speed 96000rpm..... thats ninety six thousand revolutions per minute.

We really do baby our cells in comparison.

Great mod and thanks for the schematics on it. I might just have to steal the design. I love building box mods. I would probably go with 3x 18650 and no switch. Button on the side, I have another one of these boxes and that might fit.

Oh and Welcome aboard. I got excited about the mod and forgot to say howdy!

If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind?

Lol I've not touched my planes since before James was born. That one I was on about was good for 120mph.....not bad for an electric prop plane.

I'm sure technology has dramatically improved now.

The V2 is born.  Not 100% happy with everything, but it is now sturdy and fits well in my jacket pocket.  Also got a better potentiometer that was easy to mount and has a protruding peg to make adjustments.

Most importantly, it performs marvelously.  I need to get new batteries though, waiting for almost a day to charge this pair means I have to use other things for a while, and that isn't fun when I can't vape what I just built.

The size is much better, but I could still go quite a bit smaller.

The last build is no more as I just pulled the innards out and moved them over for the most part, meaning I have another fresh new chip waiting to be used.

Hope you enjoy.

RE: 50W 10A Box Mod
What are you using to charge? If those are vct4 cells you should need a couple of hours at the most.

Please tell me your not using an i4? Its not worth plugging the bugger in.

Box mod looks awesome, I'm going to have to get some bits ordered when my wages pick up. Like a shit load of hammond enclosures for a start.
