4 weeks in and...
Decided to dive into this thing of ours headfirst after my "vape guy" handed me his TFV8. I've been stink free for four week and still going strong.
However my concern is the e-juice. The desert and breakfast flavors bring the unique sensation of eating junk food all day. Take now for instance, I feel like I have been gorging on an endless bowl of fruity pebbles all day, and not in a good way. The fruit flavors so far have been either exceedingly sweet or really artificial in flavor. The one tobacco flavor I had was perhaps the worst thing I've ever tasted, which particularly sucked because I thought it'd be a swell idea to prime my new coil with a more "natural" flavor. Boy was that a tough break in period.
Am I a minority when it comes to this situation or has anyone else struggled with the flavors? I'm really curious since I want to start try an RDA. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TVF! It's pretty common, takes most people awhile to find the flavor profiles they like.

Keep Calm and Vape On!

Welcome, yes you are not alone in the flavor wars. You have a couple things going against you right now, big things. You are getting used to tasting flavors like this while atomizing liquid on the inhale rather than getting the true mouthfeel and full effect of the actual food you're tasting, and most importantly you are not yet far enough from the effects of smoking to have your full senses restored. As Mike said, more succinctly and less-winded than I did, you'll get used to them over time and find what you love.

I'm over 2 years off the analogs, but my wife has not declared me 'stink free'. I don't expect to ever obtain that title.

Welcome to TVF Cal.

1st, CONGRATS on being analog free for a month! Good

2nd, sadly most commercial juice is super sweet, however there are many flavour profiles available and you will need to try a bunch out before you find something that suits you. Most shops carry a large variety of profiles, custards, fruity, pastries, baked goods, cereals, beverage (tea, coffee, milkshakes, beach drinks), etc....most of us switch out between the different profiles on a regular basis to keep it fresh and avoid the over indulgence, too much of a good thing feeling - can't explain it any better but I hope you know what I mean...

What nicotene level are you vaping?

Like others have mentioned ... you are still not at the stage where you can really taste new flavours. It will come in time. It takes a good four or five months for your taste buds to rid themselves of years of analogs. Even food will begin to taste better after awhile.

Thanks for the encouragement/advice everyone

Fat - Currently vaping at 3mg. Occasionally I'll go up to 6 but the flavor gets too weird for me.

Nicotine has a harsh peppery taste. Thousands of chemicals and tar prevent you from tasting it in the cigarette. It's obvious in vaping, especially in higher concentrations.

Welcome to TVF.  I love my TFV8 with the RBA in it.  The flavors get insane at times. I myself have been experimenting with different fruity flavors. I found a flavor that brings me back to my childhood.  It's like drinking the apple juice they gave us back in grade school.  Taken me a while to find the right flavor though.  Have done tobaccos, vanillas, menthols(ice), and even some crazier things.  Sorry ladies and gents, I can't stand the taste of custards lol. My local vape shop lets me taste test flavors and that has been a life savor.

If you love the TFV8 with RBA you should really try freemax's fireluke. It is fire.
