10,000 mah variable voltage mod
Keeping with my theme of crazy mods I took a dead guitar tuner and made this out of it.

This one can use 3x 18650 so if I was using 3,400mah Panasonic's I would have technically over 10,000 mah. They are running in series and using a LM2596 DC-DC adjustable power step down. I can access the pot to adjust the voltage by simply taking the battery slide lid off. This mod is a beast. It's large and in charge. It will snap crackle and pop.

Wouldn't it be easier to run them in parallel and avoid losses from DC-DC conversion?

I don't think it's a boost. So I would max out my voltage at whatever the batteries are. This is about 85% efficient so the loss isn't really too bad.

Ah, so regulation! I couldn't figure out why you'd chosen to do it that way. Which ought to have been glaringly obvious to anyone with a brain.

Must nip home at lunchtime and see if I left my brain there.

Or if one of the assistants stole it last night.

RE: 10,000 mah variable voltage mod
Thanks guys. I'm a guitarist and drummer so it kinda fits me well. I'm always carrying around a tuner so now I have this one too. My fellow band mates will get a chuckle. I have a couple of them vaping on and off for a few years. I also quit drinking. So now the smell microphones that they use drives me nuts. I'm gonna start bringing my own. Sure never bothered me before I quit in fact I never noticed that they stunk.

It's better in it's own way. It does super with higher omh atties and high volts. The Frankenmoiz is better for subohm. It's pretty typical for VV to not like subohm and this is no exception. Right now I'm vaping a 1.5ohm coil at just under 5volts, it's blowing clouds and the taste is fantastic.
